Principles

Whakamana Te Tiriti o Waitangi, by upholding the principles of Partnership, Protection and Participation:

(i) Partnership between Tangata Whenua and the Crown;
(ii) Protection of Māori rights, taonga, and mātauranga; and
(iii) Participation to ensure equitable outcomes for Māori.

Pasifika learners are at the heart of our decisions, actions, and directions:

 (i) Championing their academic, cultural, social, and emotional well-being.
(ii) Empowering their unique identities, languages, and cultures.
(iii) Fostering strong partnerships with their families and communities to support their success.

Advocate and support the professional status and rights of our members:

(i) Cultivating effective and culturally responsive leadership through professional development and peer support.
(ii) Providing a collective voice for our members on issues affecting their schools and communities.
(iii) Creating a network of support and mentoring for both aspiring and established principals.

Advocate for the development and retention of Pasifika educators in to Principalship. Increase the number of Pasifika principals in Aotearoa New Zealand.
