Today I attended the Powhiri for the new Principal of Papatoetoe North School. Stan Tiatia has been a Principal for a number of years in Invercargill and most recently was the RTLB Cluster Manager on the North Shore of Auckland. Stan is a member of the NZ Pasifika Principals Association (NZPPA) and so today I attended his Powhiri with other NZPPA members – Faatili Iosua (Principal Sutton Park) and Pelu Leaupepe-Tele  (Principal Kedgley Intermediate).

We went along to show our support and Pride in our brother and to signal that our association is right behind him. We congratulate Papatoetoe North School for their choice in Principal and we know that he will be amazing and will build on the amazing work the BoT and staff have already done. The students were so well behaved today and made Mr Tiatia very proud. The hospitality and welcome nature of the staff and families was heart felt and authentic.
