On Wednesday 4 October the NZ Pasifika Principals Association (NZPPA) held its termly meeting at Otahuhu Primary School. The day started with the executive meeting first to work through the business of the association and then spend some time in Talanoa with the Chief Executive of the Teachers Council of NZ Lesley Hoskins about their new direction.

We were then joined for lunch by some of our Auckland based Principal members to enjoy the amazing lunch put on by Otahuhu Primary. Enjoying a very hearty meal is always a great way to connect and talanoa with principals and friends and is the perfect way to nurture ones wellbeing.
After lunch we were again blessed to have Lesley Hoskins deliver a talk to the larger group on the new direction of the Teachers Council and to talanoa with our members on some of our questions and queries regarding the role of TC and their current work streams. Lesley was joined by one of the council members Daymar Dyck a Pasifika Teacher and artist who adds valuable Pasifika voice to the work of the Council.

Then we spent the next hour introducing ourselves and participating in talanoa about what was currently on top for each other. Love, Respect, Warmth and Humour was alive and well during this session and it always proves to be the best PD ever listening and sharing our stories.
